Brrrr, that’s cool. United States 1 – Costa Rica 0

It is March 22nd. Time for spring, right? And the World Cup qualifiers are being played in CONCACAF.
One was played in Honduras today. 105 degrees and super hot. As Honduras draws level with Mexico at 2-2.
Another was played in Jamaica. 80 degrees and mostly sunny. Jamaica drew level with Panama at 1-1.
The last played in Colorado, 30 degrees about a foot of snow. America beast Costa Rica. Thank goodness for the snow!
So the snow helped US earn 3 points. And we need it.
Good job by Brad Guzan in goal replacing Tim Howard. Guzan is also doing well for Aston Villa and starting to come on strong as a valuable goalie all around. Clint Dempsey’s normal solid play lead to the only goal. He also earned buy was not awarded a penalty kick. He was solid on both sides of the pitch.
The Defense and Midfield are solid for the US. They really need a forward and/or striker to step up the goal scoring. Dempsey and Michael Bradley in the mid are good scorers. But we need someone who strikes fear into the other defenses.
On to Azteca Stadium on Tuesday. Get another win in Mexico for the National Team. Bring it on!
