What if it is not?

Yesterday 28 July 2015 debris from a Boeing 777 was found on Reunion Island in the west Indian Ocean. Since there is only one Boeing 777 unaccounted for in the world; it is assumed that it has to be from MH370. The search for the Malaysian Airlines plane has been going on for over a year since its disappearance on 8 March 2014.

But what if it is not from MH370? How did this part fall off then? What plane is it from? What plane is missing this part? How is it that hasn’t already come up?

The multiple safety implications that arise from it not being from MH370 have not been discussed by any news commentator I have seen. It poses a very big safety risk to all passengers. And a PR nightmare for Boeing.

What does that say about our media?
